Museum exhibits and programs reflect national and Wisconsin state academic standards, Common Core Standards, developmental milestones recognized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards.

All field trips include an opportunity for children to explore the Museum’s educational exhibits and activities based on their age, interests and developmental abilities.

Focused Field Trips expand on classroom curricula or provide quality preschool experiences with facilitated workshops that encourage learning through materials and tools, props, demonstrations, and group interaction. Workshops are offered in a variety of engaging themes that promote science, math, environmental education, health, social studies, the arts, financial literacy, and more.

Be A Maker Field Trips are conducted in our Be A Maker space, a communal workshop featuring equipment, tools and technology resources for tinkering, building and learning new skills. Workshops address both current academic standards and new models for education that emphasize innovation, creativity and resourcefulness.

Advance reservations are required for group field trip visits. For information about group rates, reservations and policies, or to begin the reservation process, click on your group’s link above.
